I have always maintained that bows are much safer when constructed with elastic bands instead of barrettes. However, due to an overwhelming request for barrettes, I have opted to offer them to my customers, with the following notes & caveats.
Can every furbaby wear French barrettes?
Consider if your furbaby's temperament is suitable for barrettes. Is your furbaby determined to get the bow out of its hair? Are you able to monitor your pet? Is your furbaby accustomed to wearing bows or barrettes in their hair?
Are French barrettes safe?
Clearly you are introducing a small, hard object near your furbaby. If a barrette becomes detached, it can be potentially dangerous if chewed or ingested, plus there is always a risk of choking. Please be certain to know your furbaby's temperament and monitor them if/when necessary. (Note that BowBiz cannot be held liable for any accident or injury involving barrettes.)
